Nos basamos en los marcos te\u00f3ricos de los obst\u00e1culos epistemol\u00f3gicos, la metacognici\u00f3n, la modelizaci\u00f3n, las met\u00e1foras y analog\u00edas, la naturaleza de la ciencia y el pensamiento cr\u00edtico para el dise\u00f1o e implementaci\u00f3n de estrategias de ense\u00f1anza innovadoras, te\u00f3ricamente fundamentadas.\u00a0<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Una de nuestras principales l\u00edneas de investigaci\u00f3n se centra en el estudio de los procesos de regulaci\u00f3n metacognitiva del pensamiento teleol\u00f3gico y esencialista en las clases de biolog\u00eda. Toda nuestra investigaci\u00f3n se encuentra estrechamente vinculada con desarrollos recientes de la psicolog\u00eda cognitiva y la filosof\u00eda de la biolog\u00eda.<\/p><p dir=\"ltr\">Buscamos que estos an\u00e1lisis contribuyan a la mejora de la ense\u00f1anza y el aprendizaje de los grandes modelos de estas disciplinas (como la selecci\u00f3n natural y el concepto de gen), as\u00ed como al abordaje de t\u00f3picos de relevancia social (como el racismo y la biolog\u00eda del comportamiento humano), con el prop\u00f3sito de contribuir a la formaci\u00f3n de una ciudadan\u00eda
